Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) tuition is based on a per clock hour fee. Information on current tuition and fees is available from the Student Services Office. Books and tools vary according to the program. Program faculty can provide students of additional expenses such as books, tools, uniforms, and/or licensure exams

Tuition Refund Policy

Preparatory Programs: remaining tuition balance will be refunded within 30 days (1) of the last day of attendance if written notification has been provided to the institution by the student, or (2) from the date the institution terminates the student or determines withdrawal by the student.

Defined Programs: 100 percent prior to beginning of class, 50 percent after the beginning of class up to the point that 33 percent of the instruction has occurred, and 0 percent thereafter.

Technology Enhanced Instruction (Online): 100 percent for three calendar days following completed enrollment in the course/program, 50 percent until 33 percent of the calendar days for the course/program have elapsed, and none thereafter, with exceptions to be granted on a case-by-case basis by campus officials.


  • Students registering at times other than the beginning of a quarter will be prorated.

  • Tuition is based on $1.35 per enrolled hour as established by the Utah College of Applied Technology (UCAT) Board.
  • Full-time program registration fee - $40.
  • Full-time program lab fee per quarter - $25.
  • Full-time program re-enrollment registration fee - $20. This applies if a student withdraws and is not continuously enrolled. A student may withdraw and pay a minimum leave of absence fee (see below) to avoid this fee upon re-enrollment. This fee does not apply to defined courses or high school students.
  • Leave of Absence fee - $5. Students in full-time programs who know of a scheduled departure for health or family reasons may reserve their spot in the program by paying a leave of absence fee. This fee does not apply to high school students.
  • Schedule change fee - $5. This is to be assessed for any student-initiated schedule changes.
  • Late fee - $25. Students registering after the first week of class will pay a late fee.

  • Duplicate student identification cards - $3.
  • A non-refundable $50 background check fee is required where applicable.
