Health Sciences Staff Assistant - Part Time

Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) is looking for part-time staff assistant to work closely with instructional faculty and students in the Health Sciences and Nursing Programs. This is a part-time position with flexible hours (Monday through Friday) and an hourly wage commensurate with experience and training.
Applicants must have knowledge of administrative support activities, excellent verbal and written skills, and strong proficiency with computer applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Applicants must be highly motivated, well organized, and people oriented. Applicants must also be able to pass criminal background check.

Veterinarian Assistant/Pre-Vet Tech Instructor

Part Time Position
Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) is looking for an experienced professional to instruct high school and adult students in the Veterinarian Assistant/Pre-Vet Tech Program. This is a part-time position with an hourly wage commensurate with experience and training.  The instructor will work under the direction of the lead instructor for approximately 15 hours a week (Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.).
Applicants must have a minimum of one year experience as a Veterinarian Technician or Animal Science Technician. Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, evaluating student performance, assisting/counseling students, and overseeing basic veterinary procedures in a laboratory setting. Applicants must have excellent verbal and written skills and be highly motivated, well organized, and people oriented. Applicants must also be able to pass criminal background check.

Physical Therapy Aide Instructor – Part Time

Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) is looking for an experienced professional to instruct high school and adult students in Physical Therapy Aide. This is a part-time position with an hourly wage commensurate with experience and training.  The instructor will work under the direction of the Heath Sciences Director for approximately 12.5-15 hours a week (Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 10:30 a.m.).
Applicants must have experience as a Physical Therapy Aide and be highly motivated, well organized, and people oriented. A minimum of two years of education and/or industry experience is required; previous teaching experience is preferred. Applicants must also be able to pass criminal background check.

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Lab Assistant

Part Time Position
Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) is looking for an experienced professional to assist in the instruction and evaluation of student laboratory experiences in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program. The assistant will work under the direction of the instructor for approximately 15 hours a week (Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.). This is a part-time position with an hourly wage commensurate with experience and training.
Applicants must have experience as a LPN or RN and be highly motivated, well organized, and people oriented. A minimum of one year of industry experience is required; previous teaching experience and industry certifications preferred. Applicants must also be able to pass criminal background check.

Interior Design Program
Part-Time High School Instructor Position

Bridgerland Applied Technology College has an opening for a part-time high school instructor in the Interior Design Program.  This is an hourly position Monday through Friday with wages commensurate with experience and training. Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year interior design experience (preferred but not required).

Primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Teach design basics, color theory, space planning, drafting and materials
  • Meet individually with students to evaluate assignments and chart progress
  • Complete attendance and grading
  • Keep students motivated to progress through the
  • assignments
  • Update curriculum and keep textbooks current
  • Demonstrate excitement and passion for interior design industry
  • Posses enthusiasm for teaching in a creative environment
  • Work with the Interior Design Community of Cache Valley

Bookstore Clerk

BATC has a position for a part-time evening clerk/cashier. The successful applicant would be working 3 to 8 pm Monday thru Thursday and 12 to 4:30 pm on Fridays.

Job responsibilities include obtaining and receiving merchandise, totaling bills, accepting payment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and making
change for customers. Will be engaged in selling specific, related, or general lines of textbooks.

Applicants should have computer and customer service skills, be able to work unsupervised and handle money.

Finacial Aid Specialist

Bridgerland Applied Technology College has an opening for a Financial Aid Specialist. The applicant should have customer service and organizational skills with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Package financial aid awards for students.
  • Counsel students on financial aid issues and concerns.
  • Counsel parents on financial aid issues and concerns.
  • Keep current with existing and proposed federal and state regulations.
  • Monitor the accuracy of all financial aid information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is available immediately. Compensation is hourly and is based on education and experience. Closing date for this position is September 28, 2007.

Bridgerland Applied Technology College is currently seeking a full-time Interior design Instructor to teach courses in the following areas:

Our instructors are responsible for educating and facilitating student learning in all curriculum areas of the program. Instructors are expected to provide hands-on projects to enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. Instructors are also expected to encourage personal and professional development. Instructors must be willing to work with the Interior Design Community of Cache Valley to establish and better fulfill their needs as well as aid graduates in job placement. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree or four years of experience in the Interior Design Industry and an enthusiasm for teaching in a creative environment. Bridgerland Applied Technology College (BATC) is looking for an experienced professional to teach in the area of Information Technology.
                             
This person will be responsible for planning, developing and presenting organized curricula, including course outlines, syllabi, and other instructional materials, for a hands-on, competency based learning environment.

Industry knowledge in the areas of hardware, operating systems, networking, security, and telecommunications are required. Courses taught will include Networking Essentials, Windows Professional, Windows Server, Windows Server Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Security, and Cisco Certified Networking Associate.

Applicants must be highly motivated, well organized, people oriented, and possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; previous teaching experience and industry certifications preferred. Applicants must also be able to pass criminal background check and Utah State Educator License preferred.
